By Rowdy Raider The Raiders came up short in their 4th quarter rtm last week as they lost to Green County, 57-51. The Raiders trailed by 10 at the half and 10 af- ter three quarters to the Dragons. John Shoul- ders scored 10 of his 19 points in the final quarter but that was not enough. Chandler Wilcoxson was the only Raider in double figures with 10 points. The Raiders could not maintain their runs to get the game even. HAWKS SOAR Larue County came in flying to Raider gym and ripped the Raiders, 76-39. The Hawks finished the 1st half with a 3 ball to give the Hawks a 35 point lead which meant the clock would run for the entire 2nd half because of the mercy rule. John Shoulders lead all scor- ers with 19 points. Matt Middleton got his first start of the year and had 12 points which included two 3 balls. The Raiders will have played Metcalfe County this past Tuesday and will play Greenwood this Saturday at 6:30 which is homecoming. TURNOVER BLUES The Lady Raiders played a good half against Green County, but Green Coun- ty won 63-42. The Raid- ers were outscored,23-11 in :the 3rd quarter. The Dragons turned up the heat in the 2nd half which forced the Lady Raiders to make 16 turnovers in the half. Charity Burd led the Lady Raiders with 15 points which included three 3 balls and grabbed six rebounds. COMPLETE GAME NEEDED The Lady Raiders had a great 2nd half but the bad 1st half allowed Larue County to ink out a 68-66 win over the Lady Raid- ers. The Hawks had a 41-25 half time lead over the Raiders. The Raiders came roaring back in the third and final quarter on the back of Mahailey Bru- ton as she scored 17 of her 18 points in the 2nd half. Mahailey also grabbed five rebounds. The Raid- ers were down 17 points with 5:30 left in the 3rd quarter. The Raiders got the lead but could not hold it as the Hawks bust- ed three 3 balls in the final quarter. Charity Burd had 16 points which included three 3 balls. Josie Gug- gisberg finished with 10 points which included two 3 balls. The Raiders will have played Metcalfe County this past Tuesday and will play Bardstown this Saturday at 4:00 PM at Raider gym.
