He pointed out that the pro- gram was serving two fewer students than it did at this time last year. The program ended the 2012 school year serving 59 stu- dents/out of school youths, according to his report. Tim Nichols and Sonya Thompson are the staff for the program. PERSONNEL Superintendent Ricky Line provided the Board with a list of personnel changes made since the last Board meeting. Erin Harris was hired as a math teacher at Munfordville ef- fective Oct. 8 and LeAnna Dawn Middleton was hired as a .5 teacher (Primary) at LeGrande. Greg Ard was hired as 8th Grade County Girls Basketball Coach. Hired as Little League football coordinators were Timo- thy Butler, Steve Burgess, Jonathan Whitlow, Mat- thew Romance and Scott Powell. Jonathan Whitlow was hired as weight program coach, Jennifer Shoulders as girls track coach, Gor- don S. Thompson as girls basketball coach and as- sistant boys basketball coach at LeGrande, and Tim Highbaugh as Youth League district coordina- tor. GRREC GRANT The Board approved joining the Green River Regional Education Co- operative in applying for a Race to the Top grant. Su- perintendent Line pointed out that there were things the DistriCt would have to do with or without the grant funds. GRANT REQUEST The Board gave per- mission to Munfordville Elementary to apply for a Very Special Arts Ken- tucky grant in the amount of $1,200. The grant will cover the expenses and materials for Greg Aker to work with students in de- signing and building sets of instruments as part of a community-building work music workshop.
